In this article:
Anonymize player names will hide other players’ usernames in your party or lobby by replacing them with either the name of the character they are playing as or a randomly generated name.
It does not:
- Hide your username from other players.
- Hide the username of people in your party to each other or other players.
- Hide player username when viewing their platform profile. For example, viewing someone's gamercard on Xbox will still show their name.
Can I still mute, report, or block players with anonymized names?
Yes! You can mute, report, or block players with anonymized names by using the in-game report feature.
While in a lobby or after the match has started, view the player list and select the report icon that appears as a triangle with an exclamation mark inside.
